Works & Projects

These are the main projects in which I have participated.

cupofwifi

Cupofwifi is a free service where you can find and register establishments (Spots) with WiFi connection. It provides information by areas about the different spots located there. The users can find the location as well as upload photos, submit comments about the spots, recommend them or add them to their favorite list.

Also, it's possible to follow the users whom, because of their criteria, can be useful when choosing one spot or the other. Cupofwifi provides a ranking of users and cities, attending their respective karma, a value calculated daily based on their relevance (the related activity with the system).

The main purpose of cupofwifi is that the users can find quickly a spot with WiFi connection in the area they are.

I participated in this project as software engineer and Django & Android developer at thecodefarm.

Infocarretera

This project was developed for the Desafío Abredatos 2010, an OpenData coding contest with a 48 hours limit for developing a web application, in which my 4 people formed team won.

Infocarretera offers all the traffic incidences from Basque Country's road network in just one click. Anyone is able to check the state of the roads in real time thanks to Infocarretera, who obtains periodically the information from the Department of Basque Goverment.

I participated in this project as software engineer and Django developer at thecodefarm.

Tagzania

In 2005, CodeSyntax created Tagzania, pioneer application in geolocation. Over the years, geolocation services and maps on the Internet, and Web 2.0 projects in general, are growing and required more attention.

I participated in this project as Research Intern (including software engineering and Django development) at University of Deusto. My main chore was developing an improved geolocations search engine for the platform, integrated in the geoposition adding process made by the final users.
