thecodefarm

I was one of thecodefarm co-founders, an Vitoria-Gasteiz-based IT startup. I worked as software engineer developing Python and Django based web services, and as Android applications developer for two years.

Some of the technologies used in thecodefarm's projects are: Python, Django, Virtualenv, PIP, Fabric, PostgreSQL or Memcached.

Tagzania (as Research Intern at University of Deusto)

Member of GEOBUS project for Tagzania during a year and a half, consisting of a geolocation search algorithm and the subsequent sorting attending to final user's characteristic, and the development of a mobile client for the web platform, which geolocates user's position by Cell Tagging.

Apart from Tagzania's data, other sources as Geonames, Google Maps or Yahoo! Maps were used to gather more information.

University of Deusto

I studied a BSc in Computer Engineering, a five years degree in the speciality of Technical Engineering in Business Computing, at University of Deusto, between 2004 and 2009, in Bilbao (Spain).

The main technologies learned during this period were: Java SE, C, C++, Python, PHP, Pascal, Visual Basic .NET, SDL, Struts2, Hibernate, MySQL and SQLite among others.

Honours and Awards

First Prize in DesafĂ­o AbreDatos 2010, an open data coding competition organized by ProBono Publico, consisting in the development of a functional application in 48 hours.

First Prize in the 6th Edition of Alava Emprende, in the category of innovation (2010).

Second qualified at 8th Basque Country's Microbot Tournament (2009), in the category of Fighting Microbots (Sumo).

First qualified at 7th Basque Country's Microbot Tournament (2008), in the category of Fighting Microbots (Sumo).

First qualified at 6th Basque Country's Microbot Tournament (2007), in the category of Fighting Microbots (Sumo).

Third qualified at 5th Basque Country's Microbot Tournament (2006), in the category of Fighting Microbots (Sumo).
